Lily + David | Wedding in Cliffside Park, NJ

From their traditional Vietnamese gate crashing and tea ceremony in the morning to their modern friend-officiated ceremony overlooking the New York City skyline at sunset, Lily + David celebrated their wedding in a truly spectacular fashion.  These two met because of the magic of the internet, on a message board to be specific (just like my husband and I!).  David fell hard and when Lily came to the east coast to look at schools they finally met in person.  After years of dating, including several years living in Ohio, they tied the knot surrounded by over 400 loved ones.

The morning began with a gate crashing, a tradition that entails a variety of challenges for the groom and his men to prove themselves as worthy of the bride.  Once he was allowed into the home to see his bride, they honored their ancestors and elders with a formal tea ceremony followed by a feast prepared by David’s mother.  After a break for portraits and rest, the day continued with a more modern ceremony officiated by a good friend of the couple and an amazing party at the Palisadium in Cliffside Park, NJ.
