I’ve written at least 10 different drafts so far to try and explain what 2016 has meant to me but I’m going to be honest with you all, it was a year with a lot of ups and downs. I’d much rather share the top 10 moments that made me grateful for my couples and love what I do with all of my heart. 2017, let’s go!
- Desiree + Phil’s officiant turning a potential wedding day disaster (when a hotel cancelled their entire block of rooms just a few days prior) into a fairytale ceremony story about the couple battling an evil foe.
- The best man fire breathing at the end of Alexis + John’s Catskills wedding.
- Chrissy + Trevor tying the knot on a day that topped 110 degrees (the bottoms of my shoes started to melt) and Trevor changing into a full other suit to combat the sweat.
- Becky + Jeff walking down the aisle together, hand in hand.
- Holly + Kevin helping each other get dressed.
- All of the groomsmen wrapping their hands up to match Bernie after he broke his in a bicycle accident 1 week before his wedding to Jun.
- Laura + Jon pushing their wedding up nearly 6 months and absolutely killing it including their horse mask cake topper.
- Chessa + John singing their hearts out to their favorite songs when friends came together to reunite as an old beloved band for a wedding surprise.
- Kaitlyn + Mike AND Caitlyn + Pat embracing torrential wedding day rain. I had a few rainy weddings this year, but those 2 dates were unlike anything I’ve dealt with before.
